What do I need to use Ljudis?
A Plex Media Server with a music library, a Plex account, and an iPhone or iPad running iOS 27 or later. To cast, you also need Google Home or Nest speakers on the same Wi-Fi.
Why does Ljudis ask for local network access?
To find your Plex server and Google Home speakers on your Wi-Fi, and to use the fastest connection to your server. Without it, Ljudis can still play over the internet, but it can't find speakers.
My speakers don't show up
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad and your speakers are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Check that Local Network is on for Ljudis in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
- Guest networks and some mesh or business routers keep devices apart ("client isolation"). Try your main network.
Can I play to a speaker group?
Yes. Speaker groups you've set up in the Google Home app appear in the speaker list alongside single speakers.
Do I need Plex Pass?
Not for playing at home. Streaming from your server while you're away from home may need Plex Pass or Plex's Remote Play subscription. That's a Plex rule, not ours.
How do I delete my data?
Sign out in Ljudis's Settings and delete the app. That removes everything Ljudis stored on your device. To be removed from the waitlist, email get@ljudis.app. See Privacy for the details.
