Privacy

Last updated 4 October 2026

Ljudis is made by Azin Ashourvan, Boycave Studios. We are responsible for the personal data described here. If you have any questions, email get@ljudis.app.

In short: Ljudis has no accounts of its own, no ads and no analytics. Your music and library stay between your devices and your own Plex server.

The app

Plex

You sign in with your Plex account at plex.tv. Ljudis keeps the sign-in token in your device's Keychain, which iCloud Keychain may sync to your other devices. Information about your library (artists, albums, tracks and artwork) is cached on your device to make browsing and search fast. Music streams directly from your Plex server to your device or speakers and never passes through us. Plex's own privacy policy covers your Plex account.

Local network

Ljudis uses your local network to find your Plex server and Google Home speakers. This stays on your network.

Google Cast

Casting uses Google's Cast SDK. To make casting work and to improve it, the SDK sends Google diagnostic data, information about how casting is used and a device identifier. This data is not linked to your identity or used to track you. Google's privacy policy applies.

Last.fm (optional)

If you connect Last.fm in Settings, the tracks you play (artist, title, album and time played) are sent to Last.fm as scrobbles. Your Last.fm session is kept in the Keychain. You can disconnect at any time in Settings. Last.fm's privacy policy applies.

Downloads

Music you download for offline listening is stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes it.

This website

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the time you signed up, and send you one email with a link to confirm it. Addresses that aren't confirmed within 7 days are deleted automatically. Confirmed addresses are used for one thing: to tell you when Ljudis is available on the App Store. We delete the list after sending that email, or sooner if you ask. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

Resend

The confirmation email is sent by Resend, an email delivery service, which processes your email address and the message to deliver it. Resend's privacy policy applies.

Cloudflare

The site and the waitlist are hosted by Cloudflare, which stores the list in its D1 database. Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that signups come from people rather than bots, loads on the home page for every visitor. To do that it processes information about your browser and your IP address. Cloudflare may also log IP addresses to protect the site. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing get@ljudis.app. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Sweden, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
